Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Online Quran Teacher (“we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it and the choices you have.

Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to provide and improve our classes:
- Information you give us — when you book a free trial, contact us or enroll: your name, the student's name and age group, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, time zone, state, course interests, scheduling preferences and any message you send.
- Billing information — payments are processed by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Class information — attendance, lesson notes and progress reports prepared by teachers.
- Technical information — basic data such as browser type, device information, IP address and pages visited, collected through server logs and, if enabled, privacy-respecting analytics.
How we use information
- To schedule trial classes, match students with teachers and deliver lessons.
- To communicate with you by email, phone, text or WhatsApp about classes and scheduling.
- To send progress reports to parents and guardians.
- To process payments and manage your account.
- To improve our website, courses and services, and to keep them secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Children's privacy
Many of our students are children. We collect information about children only from their parent or legal guardian, and only as needed to provide lessons. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Teachers never ask children to share personal information or contact details, and parents are welcome to observe any class. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
How we share information
We share information only with:
- Your assigned teacher, so they can prepare and deliver lessons.
- Service providers who help us operate — for example email, video-conferencing (such as Zoom or Google Meet), payment processing and website hosting — under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect the safety of our students and staff.
Class recordings
We do not record classes by default. If a recording is made for revision or quality purposes, it happens only with the consent of the student or, for children, their parent or guardian.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses essential cookies to function. If analytics are enabled, we use them to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Data retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you messages, at any time. Depending on your state of residence (for example, California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be communicated by email or on this website.
